I think it’s starting to get a tradition to start the first day of the week something Motivational and productive! I think Monday deserve that!
For the last couple weeks, i struggled with a bit of time management. Almost every mid-afternoon I always found myself saying: ” Ohh There is SO MUCH to do – I need more time!” there was simply not enough hours for me.
I had to evaluate myself and say STOP and pause! I seriously wish there was a remote control you could actually pause everything lol
If you haven’ t noticed yet, I am a big thinker..but I’m going to save you from this and head straight to what I have learned and what saved me that extra hour I needed.
Here are my 5 ways to save an extra hour.
I can’t stress enough of how important preparations holds the key of any success! Whether you need to prepare for school, work or home – Always be prepared! Don’t waste your time in finding things that are important to you, get it ready in first place. Whenever there is a project waiting for me, I make sure I have prepared everything I needed so that I can dive right in and get to work. By doing this I noticed I saved so many hours, hustle and work more effiecient which led me to get my work done so much faster.
2.Waking up Early:
I know i know! You’ve heard me saying this a lot! But if you are struggling and wanting more hour to your day, wake up earlier! My goal for this year is to wake up every morning between 5AM and 530 AM and so far it has helped me to get that extra longer hours to my day. I don’t feel rushed and it is amazing of the potential of enough time to get things done.
You know they say breakfast is important? I so agree! But if you are one of those people who slay over in the kitchen like I am, time to break that habit! You see I’ve learned that whenever I want to make pancakes or a quick burrito’s in the morning, it takes a lot of time away and before I know it is 8 o ‘clock and I am rushing to get the kids dressed and ready for school.Making the batch the night before or that burrito, saves SO much time! Do you know how good it feels when that burrito is just waiting for me in the fridge?
4. Ask for help
If you are by nature someone who is not quickly to ask for help, please stop! Can I tell you a secret? It is okay to ask for help and you know it feels great too! Ask help from your husband- your children and load off that responsibility from yourself. One day I asked my oldest son who is now 5 to vacuum the living room while I was doing the dishes, he did and it felt great to not worry about what more things needed to be done.
5. Pick Your Fight
This might be a bit personal, but I couldn’t help but just put it out there as I know it could help you or relate someone. Often times we spend our energy on our spouses and argue over tedious tiny things that really at that time it matters. But when you look back on it.. you just realize of how much time you just wasted on something that was silly. You could’ve cleaned the sheets, the dishes and vacuum the place. So be aware and Pick your fight and know when it is worth it and when it is not!
back to you! How do you save an extra hour?
